Results, trends and observations regarding EU28 State Aid expenditure reports for 2016
Under Article 6(1) of Commission Regulation (EC) 794/2004, the Commission has to publish, annually, a State aid synopsis (“State Aid Scoreboard”) on the basis of the expenditure reports provided by Member States.
This note is an internal report that presents State aid expenditure data for 2016 as reported by Member States1and summarises the main findings by focusing on the most relevant observed changes between 2015 and 2016.
